Another month, another progress report!
It’s officially Fall, the leaves are falling and pumpkins seem to be everywhere.
Side note - I love seeing people commit to decorating their homes by season. That’s a level of adulting I will never reach. I’m lucky if I get all the Christmas decorations up before it’s time to start taking them all down again.
Mentioning Christmas - it’s only 3 months away! I better start focusing on figuring out what to get folks. I did buy socks for a friend the other day so at least I started shopping? I’ve been so good in recent years too! It’s ok, maybe in October I’ll start getting my act together and do some online shopping.
But before doing my shopping maybe we should take a look at how things are going with my financial goals.
If you’re curious, here’s a look at last month’s progress report.
Alright, let’s do this! Here’s my debt breakdown:
Grand Total of Debt: $199,950
 |
My student loan balances |
There it is!!! I’m officially below the $200,000 mark! Barely made it but that’s still a huge win for me.
I only paid off $1,050 during September and honestly it could have been better. I’ve been focusing on trying to keep my credit card balances lower with another surgery for Otto and some other Otto related expenses so I didn’t get to pay off as much of my student loans as I would have liked.
I think I’ll still be fighting with my credit cards this month but hopefully by the end of the year I’ll be back on track.
Onto the savings side of things:
P2P Lending account: $100
Investment account: $1,850
Grand Total of Savings: $4,850
My investment account went down $100 so my savings decreased $100 overall. Not too bad but I definitely need to focus on my savings soon.
Now off to enjoy this Fall weekend with some yard cleanup!
Is everyone getting ready for Halloween? I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with this year. What do you think the big costume of 2021 will be?
